Proprietor, Brenda Wolf, has always had a love of decorating. When Brenda and her husband, Tom, moved back to the States from Europe several years
ago, she opened a boutique that showcased her European finds!
After living in the city of Waterloo in Belgium for several months, Brenda
found herself home alone with Tom on business back in the States. Making
the best of a lonely situation, Brenda invited her neighbor, Gisèle,
to dinner. They went to a wonderful French restaurant and started what
became a lasting friendship. Brenda and Gisèle spent hours visiting
museums, going to the Market early in the morning, sharing their lives and
meals around each other's tables along with their husbands, Tom and
Gisèle's husband, Pierre. But maybe most of all they enjoyed going
for walks (or promenade as Gisèle called them) around Waterloo touring
the many beautiful historical sites. It is for this dear friend that Brenda's
store is named.
"I love having my own boutique even though it requires a great deal of work.
I feel a connection to the Maplewood community and want to make a difference
in everyone who enters my shop. If my customers hear a tune that puts a
smile on their face, smell a fragrance that soothes away a hard day, or just
leaves knowing someone cares about them as an individual, then I feel I have
done my job well! Life is precious and we need to count our blessings daily
and enjoy our life to the fullest!"
Hugs & Blessings,
Brenda
